I think that the best deals at the momenet on ths Strip are at Mirage from $72 per night https://reservations.mgmmirage.com/bookingengine.aspx?host=promo&pid=160&code=RRDLUX08&kbid=542076&sub=yh

MGM new deal $69 per night including weekends this is the best I have ever seen https://reservations.mgmmirage.com/bookingengine.aspx?pid=001&host=promo&code=SDM060&kbid=542076&sub=yh

MGM launched these deals yesterday I think that the free suite upgarde in particualr will be very popular so if yuo wantit I would advise to book quickly as they may pull it the only deal is you need to book with a Visa card
You can have a free massage at the spa, or a free upgrade to a spa suite or a free in room breakfast form $79 per night.
https://reservations.mgmmirage.com/bookingengine.aspx?host=promo&pid=001&code=INB188&kbid=542076&sub=yh

https://reservations.mgmmirage.com/bookingengine.aspx?host=promo&pid=001&code=INB189&kbid=542076&sub=yh

If you want somthing cheaper Excaliburis 3 star rooms are big and clean but the pool is not so hot but this ifrom $42 per night https://reservations.mgmmirage.com/bookingengine.aspx?pid=EXC&host=offer&code=EBOOK&kbid=542076&sub=yh

That all depends on your taste. If your into the flashy part of vegas go to Flamingo, Ballys Ceasars and Palms. The clubs for a flashy vegas person is Pure, OPM and Rain. If your more into a sophisticated fun go to Bellagio, The Wynn and Mandalay bay. Fun clubs there are the rum jungle in the mandalay bay. If you want kid friendly and adult friendly go to T.I (treasure Island) and the Mirage. Also there is a fun realistic place at imperial palace for hawaiian luaus. I live in Vegas and there is so much variety and NO matter what youdo go to Margarita Ville.. SO MUCH FUN!

i am pretty sure that is varys from hotel to hotel, and from job to job. some of the jobs u talked about are 17 and up..while others are 21 and up. the best way to find out would be to actually call from hotel to hotel or go visit the ones u want and ask for job applications

You might check out the Polo Towers on the strip near the Hard Rock Hotel. They have two bedroom suites with a sofa bed in the living room and a dining room and kitchen. It's a lot cheaper than a hotel suite. www.polotowers.com

People passing away in Hotels, is not something Hotels like to announce. The Hotel/Casino i work in, likes to keep it hush hush.
Not only to the public, but also to the employee's of the Casino.
Announcing a death is hardly good for business, we have had 3 people pass away in the last 4 years. Two were inside (1 being a suicide, never made the papers or evening News) and the 3rd was outside in the parking lot. Again that never leaked out, and it's like bananano said.
We notifier Metro and it goes from there, crack pipes and syringes. That are found by housekeeping, now that's a question worth asking.

The only really "Family friendly" hotels on the strip are Excalibur and Circus Circus because they're themed and Circus Circus has an amusement park in it. However, your family would be fine at any of the hotels, I always saw families including little kids in every hotel i went in when I went to Vegas last summer.

Here's the hotels I would look into depending on your price range:
-Best hotels, Most expensive:
-Palazzo/Venetian
-Wynn/Encore
-Bellagio
-Mandalay Bay

-Mid Range priced hotels:
-New York New York
-MGM Grand
-Paris
-Caesar's Palace
-Mirage
-Treasure Island

-Cheaper hotels:
-Luxor
-Excalibur
-Circus Circus
-Flamingo

I stayed at Palazzo and it was awesome, and i stayed at Luxor and it was decent. I would say Wynn or Palazzo is the best of the expensive group, Mirage or Treasure Island is the best of the mid group. Mirage has a nice pool area and renovated rooms. Treasure Island has a great breakfast buffet and renovated rooms.

Go to tripadvisor and read some reviews for any hotel you're thinking about. You can see which hotels are rated the best in Vegas as well and look at traveler pictures of the rooms so you can see which hotel rooms you guys like the best. The hotel websites always enhance the room photos from what they actually look like.

Most hotels fit into your description.. but some of the youngest party hotels..

1. Hard Rock.
2. The Palms
3. Mandalay Bay
4. Luxor ( i personally dont like this place, but you might)

There really are not many "family" hotels in Vegas. I think most people are getting the point that vegas is not a family town. But avoid circus cirucs and excalibur because they are notorious for being family style. They stink anyway.

Most hotels are offering good rates due to the recession, so there is no need to stay anywhere cheap. Trust me, in Vegas its just not worth the little bit you save to stay in a lousy hotel.
